42 degrees. Ugh. Would you like me to send you a little of the sleet we've got coming down?

I'm so glad this is turning out to be a good visit after the nightmare of trying to it happen.

Please keep the sleet, I'll be heading right back into European winter too soon for my liking ;)

I'm definitely very relieved to be here considering the nightmare as you say.

You look radiant in the pics of this trip. So comfortable in your own skin, more yourself somehow. Clearly it's doing good things for you.

What a kind thing to say. I am more comfortable here, they're 'my people' hey. Also they aren't uptight Brit's who think I'm being rude whenever I open my mouth. They understand a ballsy, dry witted Aussie shiela :)

It's true, what she said about how beautiful and happy you look in the pix. Of course it's also true that you're ballsy and dry-witted! What a combo!

Knock 'em dead, Inko!

Hey, it won't be long before I'm complaining of frozen canals and lack of firewood ... if that helps at all.

I was going to moan about the -7 degree temperatures in Ireland, but it just makes me sound a wuss compared to some of the weather stories here :-)

I'm thinking I feel the exact way about horse racing that you feel about cricket! I could never watch any Saturday afternoon kids programmes growing up, because there was always flipping horse racing on, and only then if I wasn't freezing my cahoonas off at some race track. Wild horses (pun intended) wouldn't drag me to a race meeting now
