Thanks for having this in tumblr link so I have something actually profound to reblog instead of endless silly things happen somewhere in the world that I usually reblog
Bro, maybe you should follow me, my blog is half things I find thought-provoking and profound and half Pokemon and whatever other animanga I'm currently obsessing over with a pinch of raging about societal double standards or something or the other.
(But yeah, I think we're all mostly reblogging things happening in other parts of the world, our side doesn't seem too big on reporting our depressing state of affairs, hnn.)
I don't try to use tumblr so much because I try to find silly things but keep getting social issues from my very enthusiatic friends who keep saying "DO YOU AGREE THAT THIS IS A HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM, RIGHT?" "Umm..I'm just looking for videogame gifs...." "SO YOU SUPPORT RAPE, DO YOU?! >;[" "N-no...I'm sorry ;_;" "Thought so....check your privilege"
I honestly doubt anyone actually talks like that, unless you have some logic-defying buds, but alright! ^^;;
( I mean, the closest thing I can think of is the whole Down With Molestia campaign because people were sick of the rape jokes in the fandom and that... quickly turned ugly when bronies sent rape threats to one of the girls running it who was a rape victim herself.)
But it's good not to spend too much time on tumblr, the site gets really, really weird and kind of viciously overcompensates for things in a very self-defeating and exclusive way... and then, there's this culture of stagnancy and passivity it breeds that could easily inspire one to never make any change whatsoever and it's-- I could see why someone would want to avoid it, in short. ^^;
