When I made an innocent comment about how sad it was that a particular thread on Serebii had more mature discussions than the once-lauded as the thinking Pokemon fan's forum Bulbagarden, I only worried I'd recieve a warning or infraction. You know how Serebii is

The pokemon fandom is indeed a volatile one.

I recall a friend of mine, Alexander Lucard, who actually works for the Pokemon Company researching new types and names of pokemon (since he has a degree in folklore) and writes for Beckett's Pokemon collector magazine hinted that May 10th would be the announcement date for Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes.

He was attacked mercilessly by some Pokemon fans as a liar simply because he got the news before they did. :/

Yeah, this fandom can be pretty rubbish at times, even if it sort of makes up for it by being so big!
