[So, after helping Naruto with his homework, they talked for a little bit about video games. Naruto had some ninja game that sounds like a lot of fun, and Sai has a games console so he invited Naruto to his house after school in an effort to become friends with him

[His Mum had been delighted to give him a lift to Sai's house-- and even though between them they struggled to actually find the place, they eventually made it. Jumping out of the car, he waved her goodbye and made for Sai's house - a rucksack on his bag with various things he'd decided to bring with him.

He was hopping excitedly from foot to foot by the time he arrived at Sai's front door, grinning widely.]

Uh. Yeah.

[He watches Sai for a while, blinking a few times before opening the case of the game and handing over to him.]

It's a real cool game! I ain't played it in ages though.

[He sits down on the floor, crossed legged and leans forward to put the game into the machine]

I heard of it, but never played it. I shall give it a try though.

[And the game starts up, so he hands the first controller over to Naruto, picking up the second]

[He nods, sitting down on the floor himself and grinning at Sai as he takes the controller.]

Yeah! I'm glad-- I've missed playin' with someone else, too.

[He takes the controller, clearly surprised, but he knows the game well, so he starts a match, pointing to the screen.]

So- ya get to choose someone to play as an' stuff, and then we fight.

This is actually the first time I ever had somebody at my house to come play.. I played them a couple of times at Gaara's house but that is it.

[Not taking his focus off the screen, he is busy trying to decide which Character he should play] They all have different abilities?

Oh-- Well... Is that okay?

[He's staring over at Sai for a while, a little puzzled, but then talk of the game takes his attention right back. Of course, Naruto chooses the character that he bears an uncanny resemblance to =D]

Oh-- Yeah, they do. Like-- Uhm, this guy? He does somethin' called Rasengan-- and, that other guy has chidori... and that one uses like, animals - sort of, they're like.. paint?

It's okay. I don't really have many friends so there wasn't really anyone to invite.

Paint? [That one got his interest so he moves the cursor over it, indeed they looked like animals made out of paint] I will choose this one then.

Uhm. Okay.

Yeah yeah.

[He grins, and chooses the loudmouth, shifting in his place when the game starts loading.]

Right! So-- that button is punch, that one's kick, and if you press those ones then that it's-- maybe I should show you the move list thingy?

[He watches Naruto, looking down at the buttons he is pointing to before looking at his own. He isn't going to remember all of them just yet.]

That might help a bit.

[The moment the game starts he pauses it, shifting close enough to press his finger against the screen]

'kay, click that--

...Alright.

[He presses it and the screen comes up with a menu of button combos. Not that any of them mean a thing to him, so he just memorizes a few of them before exiting]

I think I am good now. Well, we shall see. I will probably lose terribly.

Yeah, you're right.

[He grins and closes the screen, instantly landing a hit on Sai's character. He's concentrating so hard his tongue is sticking out of his mouth, eyes fixed on the screen.]

[The game loads up and he is instantly loosing. Although he manages to summon some sort of ink-lion-thing that knocks some health off of Naruto's character]

I dont get how you would be hurt by ink..

[He's grinning, even though the hit lands - and he looks over at Sai for a moment, waving his hand at the screen before he realises that means he's not holding the controller.]

Uh- Oh. Yeah, there's this chakra stuff that they use or something. They're ninja.

Ah. Never heard of a ninja who uses paintings before.

[He tries to press a few more of those combinations he learnt, and finds the buttons to through exploding kunai, but he is losing pretty badly.]

I guess not--

Hey watch this...

[He's grinning still, pressing a combination of buttons to activate the move. It's enough to deplete all of Sai's character's health.]

Ha! Gotcha!
