I like it a lot! I really like how it's from the Doctor's pov and not just a 3rd person viewing. It gives much more of an intimacy. And I love that scene a lot. :)

THIS. IS. ABSOLUTELY. BRILLIANT!

I'm afraid that I'm not much for coherent thought at the moment, but this really was beautiful. I love how you've taken what really passed us by so quickly in series one, and made it into something deep and lasting. Emphasizes Rose's strength, her commitment and her devotion to the Doctor while giving us a taste of the Time Lord's "last" thoughts was really clever, and exceptionally good of you.

I watch this scene over and over again and it never gets old because there are so many layers there that RTD let slip by. You've taken some of those and grounded them in this fic. For that, my lovely friend, I thank you :D

*blush* D'awwww, thank you! <33

I really wanted to explore his thoughts, since we get so much of Rose in the episode and so little of him. I mean, yeah, we need to see that human character we identify with so readily, but The Doctor is doing some pretty amazing things right there and I thought he deserved a voice.
