Not what you'd call punctual

Well, that was an almost-year, wasn't it?

In other news, HAI MY FRIENDS I'VE BEEN IGNORING FOR LIKE TEN SODDING MONTHS!

I don't really know what happened... one minute I was an internet-freak, the next minute I was still a freak, but less inclined to tell people all about it.

Over the next few days (or, I dunno, eons) I intend to revamp and jazz up ( Read more... )

wait who's journal is this?, fail, omg

OMG YOU'RE BACK! YAY THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY.

1. I went to uni!
2. I got incredibly lucky and was put on a corridor where all of us have become best friends. It was even better than I'd hoped for.
3. Discovered Economics really isn't fun at all but I intend to get through it no matter what. (It didn't turn out to be that bad in the end anyway - I managed a 2.1 this year! :D)
4. I had a massive crush on a guy for pretty much the entire year. He has a girlfriend. :o(
5. I had my first ever shot of tequila XD

And congratulations on your degree results!

OMG IT'S YOU. I was wondering where you'd gone! *glom*

Congrats on having seven awesome housemates EDIT: AND ALSO ON YOUR DEGREE RESULTS OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. Also, re: Matt Smith, you too huh? (I don't get it. He's really not attractive except how he totally is sometimes and it's annoying). Overall impression of the latest series of Doctor Who, then? TALK TO MEEEEE.

Anyway, the top five things to happen to me in the past year:

1. Went to Rome for five days with some fandom friends. It was my first real holiday without my parents and it was incredible. I posted about it here.
2. Started volunteering at London Zoo. I started in January, working one day a week, and I basically stand at different exhibits, supervising and imparting (hopefully) interesting facts. I love it so, so much, and post about it a lot on this tag3. Passed my first year of uni. Finished my second year. Waiting to see if I've passed right now, but next year I have a.) been offered a job as part of our student academic mentor scheme, so I'll be helping out in ( ... )

Eee, thank you!

And yeah, Matt Smith. I mean, not him so much. But his Doctor. And he is about 500 times more attractive in motion than in pictures. AND YET I LOVE HIM SOMEHOW.

I am over the moon about this new series - COHERENT SCIENCE FICTION PLOTS OMG!! And Amy and Rory are awesome and the Doctor is infinitely more of a woobie which I love have no feelings about whatsoever.

Rome looks freaking AWESOME. :D

And yay! for good results. Also, American Suburban literature sounds cool, what will you study?

And Misha Collins... that sounds vaguely familiar... possibly because I have a picture of him pouring yoghurt over his face sitting on my hard drive and it's because of YOU!

KONSTANTIN KHABENSKY. Now there's a face I haven't seen in a while. By jove I missed you, Fiend.

Yes indeed! But he's just so... ugh. I said when the series began that the real test of his skills would be if I found him attractive just because he's playing the Doctor, and this turned out to be sadly, hilariously true. (I didn't think David Tennant was all that until he started playing the Doctor, and now he's stopped, I've sort of returned to my default status of "meh")

Bwahahaha. The plotting in this series has certainly been much better, although I think some people are missing the random spectacle of RTD's era. Also, I went through a troubled stage of disliking Rory. Please forgive me.

I have no idea. It was either that or... I think I could have done Jane Austen, which: bleh. Or British Poetry, which was my other choice but which I decided against. The choices weren't that great, which was a ( ... )

:D

I like that he's more of a ragdoll than DT or Ecclestone... they seem to fling him about a lot more and it suits him. Also, Matt Smith is a very nuanced actor, and that just makes it fun to watch him.

I do not miss random Rusty madness. I loved that The Big Bang had like six characters, not entire screaming cities.

And I have to admit, I'm impressed you're still here and didn't combust upon meeting Misha. I think I would, and I don't even stalk him :P AND YES PICS IMMEDIATELY PLS!!!

WELCOME BACK!

Alright, here's my top 5:

1. Last year of uni! I know this means I have to find a proper job at the end of the year but still, NO MORE ASSIGNMENTS EVER!

2. Sherlock Holmes. I thought they did a good job of bringing Holmes and Watson to a new mainstream audience. I've watched that movie over and over and over and then some. It's a lot of fun.

3. I turned 21. Does this make me grown up? Time will tell.

4."MATT SMITH OMNOMNOM" ^_^

5. I got my Ps. But still have no car.

SHERLOCK HOLMES YES! I just saw it the other day, and immediately wanted to see it again. SO EFFING GOOD.

Matt Smith! :D:D:D
