Word Count: 263

Notes: I don't like Petshop of Horrors: Tokyo. It's existence kinda offends me, mainly because a) it's return to the format of the beginning of the original series without the character development D got, and b) WHERE THE HELL IS LEON? WU-FEI IS NOT AN ( Read more... )

Lovely! (and I don't much care for the Taizu, either. I wish Leon would show up and your way is as good as any. *^-^*)

I do like neoPSoH, but I think it's because I'm looking at it as if Wu Fei is being introduced to show the stark contrast between himself and Leon.
Like, maybe D needs to see how unique and special Leon really is, and by having the desire to figure him out in common, he'll be more likely to see the VAST difference between someone pure of heart - like Leon - and someone self-serving like WuFei.

Wow. This was really well done. I appluad thee on a job well done!

I agree with you on the fact that Leon is not in the second series [damnit Leon, do your job and please us fans by showing your ass!!], but I also agree with kashuneko on this. I think a character like WuFei sorta brings new dynamics to the PSoH universe, maybe acting as a reason why D SHOULDN'T try to keep faith in people. But then again, the series hasn't ended, so we may or may not find out new things about PSoH:T that we didn't know before.

I am always less excited about Leon finally finding D again, than having D actually give in and go looking for Leon. And Wu-Fei is hotter and more intelligent than Leon. I never root for the underdog.

The charm of LeonxD got boring and wore off for me long time ago. I don't necessarily like Wu-Fei for D, but he represents more possibilities for plot development than Leon mired in the common drudgery of every cop drama show ever did.

Ooh, it was fun to see Leon and Wu-Fei meet--I hope that happens in canon at some point, too!

I'm actually beginning to like Wu-Fei a little, but of course Leon is the only one for D (^_^), and I do miss the character development of the first series. That was the real attraction for me, watching Leon and D grown and change, not just the episodic plots about the pets and their customers.
