Ooh nice. I especially like how he notices her, then dismisses her until she puts herself into a place where he can't ignore her anymore -- it seems just like how he would react. I also like that Nooj didn't have to prove himself in trials; makes total sense, with him being a legendary Crusader and all.

It might be a bit of a superficial look at Nooj, but it certainly all rings true for me, and it's plenty meaty for a ficbit. So, thumbs up! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it, and that you thought it was likely. :D I just - that was how Nooj seemed to act in the early Crimson Spheres, so. Yes. Dismissing until he can't afford to do so is pretty much how I see Nooj's interaction with most of them during the early days of the Crimson Squad. ;)

See, you're kinda the expert on writing Nooj and Paine, so your good opinion means a lot to me. :D

All I've read was from the Pit of Voles (a mistake venturing in there if ever there were one), and here I am, minding my own business and looking for the name of Paine's sword, when I find this bit!
