Az - rather, Paws as he'd been named - was very content to sit back and watch the antics as he pecked away at an apple. Shifting from form to form like that took a bit more energy than he had foolishly assumed it would - once in the City he was a bit more bound to actual physics.

Perhaps it was just the way that he got in. Maybe that was it.

"Question. Lab? Don't you need to see what you're doing in one a little more brightly than shadows usually like?"

"Answer. Yes. However my work is mostly electrical in nature, when I'm head deep inside a machine I cast a huge shadow over what I'm doing so I usually work with one of those...super duper mini mag things. When it gets late and I'm alone though, I'll dim some of the extra lights to give myself a hand."

She swayed a bit, and the tendril receded back into the shadows from whence is came. She shook her head clear.

"I mostly use them to fetch things that're too far away when I'm holding wires. Little things like spare wires, a snack, or my soldering iron. Those things. Heh, speaking of light though...oh man...this one time while I was learning out to use them, I hadn't quite figured out how to expand them enough for me to pull through. And I tried to shadow-walk to the shadows cast by my rose bushes out front. The sun damn near took my arm clean off."

It was mostly an idle thought that had "Paws" musing over what would happen if she ended up in his world. An idle but entertaining one. The havoc she'd wreak with all known science...

"Ouch. I'm no fan of the sun myself - it's pretty much a tangible force to reckon with back home - but it never threatened my right to bear arms."

"Heh, tell me about it, it's both my best friend and worst enemy, makes the best shadows, but kills'em once high noon sets in," She laughed a little, "I'm still learning to use them, so far I've learned out to see through them. Manipulate them into a doppelganger of sorts that I can move and act with."

She eyes "Paw's" carefully, and runs a her tongue over her teeth rolling a thought around in her head. Oh hey a piece of that can she missed.

"Say Coryoctoliox...mind if I ask you a question?"
