[Hello, citizens of Ink City! If you aren't a basement dweller, you may notice a huge sign saying “INK CITY COSTUME PARTY TODAY” in front of a large building decorated with jack o lanterns, fake cob webs, fake spiders, and other Halloween related decorations. If you walked up to the building, there is another sign that says “Come on in!”.

[Oh look here's someone new. A girl even, and she's dressed up as a kitty cat! Looking around as she struts in awe nearly over-takes her at the festivities going on around her. Ah, yes. Good times. Of course, what most might not realize is that this is, in fact, Crmsn, and that he-sorry, she is currently enjoying some of those candy coated snacks. Oh how happily she digs in. That's right, the costume is the cat. Don't try to think about it too hard. After stealing a lollipop she's bouncing to the beats a bit farther from the table. C'mon and dance with her, she's not gonna bite.]

[Psst, hey. You know those fortune-telling booths with the weird mannequin inside? It's exactly like that, only with Him inside. Wanna try your luck? Go ahead, you know you want to.]

[Why not give it a whirl? All you gotta do is pull the lever!

...wait did it just wink? Nah.]

[Layton, being short on decent costume clothes, ends up going to the party dressed in this outfit except with his signature top hat. He's honestly not sure what he's dressed up as, but a gentleman must always attend a party properly.

Currently he's sipping some tea that was totally always here and calmly watching other people.]

[Oh hey, Edgeworth's at the party...and he didn't dress up. What a shame. But he does want to feel included...and get away from the house for a bit. So that counts! He's trying!

He sees Layton and...is that tea? Was he dealing with a gentleman? I sense a bond forming...~]

May I ask what tea that is? It smells absolutely divine.

[They can be tea drinking buddies!]

It's a combination of joy root clover, peppercherry, and cinder horse. A surprisingly delightful combination of flavors, really.

Ah, I thought I sensed the aroma of pepper. Would you mind if I tried some? I believe the combination is quite new to me.

Ren, what is he doing here? Well, after getting inspired by the light-hearted antics of one balanced individual, Ren decided to attend anyways.

Also, hey! Free movies! Ren's over in the movie room watching some weird movie involving a kid and button eyes. Care to bother?]

[Don't worry, Ren, Starscream's here to join the fun! He enters the movie room and sits down...conveniently next to the chihuahua. He gets vague feeling that he's felt the presence of one before...but he'll ignore that for now.]

...Is this supposed to be frightening for the human children?

[HE IS WAY MORE MANLY THAN MOHO. Oh hey, normal guy. Ren'll just hog his own popcorn, thank you.]

I don't get what's so scary about buttons. What, did the writer get attacked by a sewing machine?

Irrational fears implanted by adults for children.

[GOOD. CAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT YOUR SMELLY POPCORN, REN.]

And if the writer did not, he should be.

[The concept of Halloween is very, very new to Starscream. In fact, he doesn't even know what the term 'dress up' means! Transformers are pretty much 'born' in their clothes...if you can call it that, so was it supposed to be human-speak for 'disguise'? Well Starscream's got one of those, so he's going to flaunt it. He arrives at the party...as a normal human. How...exciting!

Oh well, he can pass off as a biker if he plays his cards right. Maybe Han Solo.

The trivial things like candy are none-too-interesting to him, so he completely bypasses the tables. It's not like he COULD eat like this anyway. The movies catch his eye though. Human murder propoganda? Did...he secretly invent this and it just slipped his mind? He stands outside the doorway of the movie room, looking at the lineup.

Care to comment on how lame his costume is/his taste in movies/the fact that he's here?]

[Man, you so dorky, Screamy. Here's someone with a real sense of fashion, just floating overhead.]

Movies, how utterly dull.

[Careful application of spraypaint and some creative use of tarp rendered Jetstorm a pretty decent rendition of Him.

Because... well, Halloween is about scary things, right? He's just gonna be kinda hanging around in one of the larger rooms, looking curiously at everything.]

[Guess who's floating overhead, silently watching? Oh, this lulz looks too delicious to pass up.]

[Guess who hasn't noticed yet?

If you guessed Derpstorm, you get a cookie! Yaaaay!]

[All the cookies, all of them. But hey, guess who appeared behind him suddenly out of the air? That's right 'Megamind' in a red cape and goatee, who's totally not Him at all, no siree.]

Why, hello~

Fancy seeing you here~
