Thanks, Fella ... The deer and I hit fairly squarely, so it was just a crunch and move on off the road. I did sit there with my head in my hands for more than a bit.

Thank you! I was more stomach-sickened over the car. The collision was fairly uneventful, at least it happened very quickly.

For one of the first times, I felt like -- through listening -- I might have a function in this family.

Did it make perfect sense afterward? Like this function may have been there all along but you just never noticed. I'm totally fascinated by the roles we get assigned and the roles we accept.

And exceptionally happy you're okay. : )

::hug:: thanks, Bubba.

Well, I've offered her this kind of relationship before, back when she was having a much harder time dealing with my being a queer, non-Christian. I guess it felt good to feel her tentatively taking me up on the offer after all these years.

I'm glad it did, it seems like a quietly powerful moment.

The other deer are already back in the forest, busily making more deer.

I'm glad you're OK.

Hehehe. My mom was hit twice last year by deer. She said she wished they'd expand the hunting season for them. Better a bullet and a hopefully instant death than getting roughed up by a speeding car ... .

Thank you, Fella: Not even a lump, maybe some bruised pride. But I'm ok. ::squeeze::
