Thanks, Fella. Evidently, he is doing well. Still, I have this odd sense that things have radically changed. I guess it must be that I've never lost anyone close to me (what luck: at the age of 33), and this comes as the closest thing to it so far, a reminder of the tangibilty of mortality.

Thank you again for the good wishes.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad is 62 and had a first heart attack when he was 50 (and another a couple of years later). He seems to be doing OK, despite having problems with smoking.

So it is possible for your Dad to have a good recovery. He will have to make to changes in diet, exercise, etc., but with modern medicine he can bounce back.

That's good to hear. I guess my Dad must be a fairly good portrait of health, seeing as this is his first heart attack, and he's 66. Both his parents died of heart attacks, though. Still, the doctor's prognosis is a good one.

Thanks for the info and thoughts, B.

To echo Ben's sentiments, a healthy recovery is possible. My dad had a heart attack a number of years ago. He doesn't take as good care of himself as he should, but his quality of life is still pretty good.

Thinking of you,
S.

Yeah, my Dad's a workhorse, even if he eats poorly. I guess that bodes well for him. He's going to have to drop one of his three retirement jobs, though -- definitely the warehouse job!

I really appreciate your thoughts, Buddy.

Thank you ... He seems to have already gotten it since he is chomping at the bit to get out of the hospital. Must've worked!

Thanks Angus! He is already doing much better. 2-3 weeks of rest plus some medication and that should do it!
