I Don't Lie

If you have the slightest inclination, go see Capote. A tight, economical, thoughtful film. As expected, amazing acting. See Capote walk the line between vulnerable and intimidating ... not the enfant terrible for nothing.

film, literature, biography

i saw this as a rough cut, and was blown away.

What's a "rough cut"?

it was before the final editing. there were no credits, the sound was a bit rough, and i may have seen stuff that wasn't included in the final edit (they may also have added stuff). the director was at my screening, and there was a long feedback session with we who were in the audience (including moi). i only wish the writer, dan futterman, had been there. he's dreamy.

Wow! What a great experience! What was the feedback like, what were people's responses in general?

I can only imagine the writer of this would be some kind of dreamy. But then, "arty egghead" is a shoe-in for one of my "types," for sure.

"Bergdorf...the scarf...."

*tips hat* "Sears and Roebuck"

I'm still giggling.

Hahaha! My friend and I are still coming up with favorite scenes/quotes. Most of ours now, though, are the ones that are kind of creepy! :)

Now, I wanna ride your back for some strange reason! ;) I really think you must see this, R! Southern, queer, literary? Tight and confident and mostly un-grandiose.
