what a clever design. i love the additional realism for the dragon; there's never been a traditionally designed dragon that could realistically be able to fly without the use of magic or good storyteller bullshit.
and i love that he's a messy eater! something that can't hold eating utensils would be, and you've depicted that very well here. :D
Thank you. *nods* It's still not quite there yet, but I think it's a step in the right direction in adding some realism to these dragons. A lot of times it just bugged me when I can't see how a four legged and winged dragon could actually fly using general biological aerodynamics.
Also, forgot to mention that the modified ribs sort of float over the flight muscles, so they're not terribly strong should they have had a socket to attach to.
And then lacking a hand that could hold food makes it even harder to be a clean eater. But even the messiest eater isn't going to be completely covered in it's food, so I think I caught a nice balance here. (wow, this got wordy)
