I actually had to walk away from this for a bit in order to come up with a cohesive comment. And I'm not sure if I do yet. Because. Asfgfkashlahkl. There's just so much love in this story that it's overwhelming in the best way, and I was actually clutching at my heart at bits, like every time that Cas is Cas and how Dean is so determined to get back and save Sam, because that's his job, and it's not even a question of if, it's just how and when.

I'll just sit here weeping for a bit if that's okay.

I am a sucker for Purgatory!verse, to the point where I am sure the show will not live up to fic standards lol. We just need these two to mend and repair in the midst of that jungle. And have hot sex damnit!!!
This is just really tender and loving. Dean especially is very IC. I pretty much cried at his thoughts of , this is my cas, and, telling Cas, I missed you so fucking much! Show really did nod to that for Dean, I felt so sad to see that he was so depressed he actually SAID it.
Your imagery is also great here, the nearly almost night landscape is eerie.

I am simply awestrucken with this, I tried to stay away from Purgatory fics but someone recommended your fic on tumblr for its excellent characterization and interesting parallels and MAN, does this deliver <3
Seriously, the moment Dean said “You were happy,” I just kind of lost it.
Also, him being unable to give a label to his feelings/relationship for Cas is just something I'm really fond of here.
And then the end, bringing Lovecraft up again like this, I'm ashamed to say I actually hadn't thought about this (mostly because I watched everything in such a rush haha) but that was so lovely. (I doubt we'll get anything like this though because of production costs. Also his horrors somehow had a lot to do with non-euclidian geometry, i guess that would be hard to show xD)
I loved reading this and now I'm going to cry in a corner because this makes me even more excited for the Purgatory storyline
