Hey, I just joined, my name is Mary, some people call me Jane. I'm going on 20 in 4 months and have been interested in becoming a tattoo artist for quite some time now. I joined hoping I could find out more about what's involved

1. you do not have to be a tattoo artist to be a flash artist...but a lot of tattoo artist's design their own flash.

2. There isnt a specific medium people use for flash art...but it mainly consists of watercolors and colored pencils. Apparently watercolors are most like tattoo inks...Ive never seen the comparison to be honest.

3. Do you just do henna designs? or can you draw as well? If not, you should practice shading skills. Shading is very important in tattooing.

To answer your question, I can draw and paint among other things as well. Henna is just something I do in my free time, or until I find something closer to tattooing.
