Not to sound like a spoilsport, but... razorzknight November 1 2008, 17:59:36 UTC
I've never taken part in that thing, and never will. But that's because the rules go against the things the best writer ever born taught me.

The one guy who wrote without plannign, without deadlines and without being bothered by what others would think of his job. Isaac Asimov.

Still, I bet it's good practice. I'm just too focused in doing my fics (which don't run by any deadline, don't have a set genre, and never have a set word limit per episode) to bother with writing contests/challenges of any kind.

Though if I did try... I've written fifteen thousand words in five days, for my epic's final arc, with only the ending of the story in mind, and planning three or four scenes ahead in my mind as I wrote.

Maybe I will join that thing next year, pick up one of my never-finished originals and restart it.

The problem will be, after writing 50k words... What will I do with the twenty days I'll have left? //ego ;)

Anyhow, good luck with nano if you do join.
