Friends, it's very simple: if you support Barack Obama and the Democrats -- even if reluctantly, even if you're just being all sophisticatedly super-savvy and blogospherically strategic about it, playing the "long game" or eleven-dimensional chess or what have you -- you are supporting the outright murder of innocent people who have never done ( Read more... )

BS. If you want to go that far, then you pretty much don't even get to go to the grocery store; even if you take the bus there.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you haven't shown the connection between my buying groceries and dead people in Pakistan. Last time I checked I checked Safeway didn't have any drones. Maybe you could flesh out your argument for me.

I'm confused by this article. Who are they saying is getting killed in Pakistan?
Obama got voted in by people tired of pointless war, so saying "oh you voted Obama, you must want war and innocent people to die" doesn't follow. There was a choice of Bush legacy (McCain/Palin) = pointless war or Obama= in hope he'll stop some. That being said, all agree that Obama has disappointed many who wanted him to do more regarding said hopes.

Voted for =/= supporting him now.

Same as if you supported Shrub, or Clinton, or Bush 1 or Reagan or even Carter. It's what our government does, regardless of which party is in charge. Ever since WWII. I didn't read the Floyd article but if he's blaming it all on Obama/Dems, well, there's a problem with perceiving the breadth and depth of the problem.

He is blaming the current administration on it's current policies. Floyd was way worse on Bush and Void know he despises McCain.

It's time everyone just stood aside from both parties I start coming up with a new way of doing things.

Thanks for the link on agorism! It really sounds good.

Another thing to keep in mind is the elimination of our dependence on foreign oil. If we depended on exclusively wind/solar/biofuel/hydroelectric/nuclear power, we would not be beholden to terrorists and Islamic theocracies.

Now if only we could clue the Tea Party and friends in on that bit of news...

It's something I've been reading and thinking about lately. A lot. That particular article is about the most practical and instructive explanation I've seen yet. I think it is astounding in it's clarity.
