Tell me about loyalty, fellow passengers of the Barge. Tell me about your friendships, or whatever you wish to call them.

What would you do for a friend or ally? Or better yet...what have you done for a friend? Out of loyalty? Out of love? Out of mutual respect?

'Friend' is such an abstract term. So far as I've seen it doesn't exist.

Friend, ally, what does it matter? They're all the same thing.

Incorrect. They're quite different.

Not to me.

A 'friend' is much too subjective a word. You can claim anyone is a friend.

I would do everything that I could. Short of killing someone, of course.

Oh, of course.

But we all know what we would do. Or what we think we would do. The question is...have you done it?

I have. At every chance.

What, specifically?

I would and have put myself in idiotic amounts of danger. If it weren't for my friends, I wouldn't be here. Of course I'm going to help them whatever it takes.

What good is putting yourself in danger?

ichoosefight April 12 2011, 02:25:32 UTC
See, you have to put yourself in just the right kind of stupid danger to get a friend out a real bind.

Obviously if there was a safer way I'd do it, but have you heard I'm from Gotham? Because there's not much in the way of 'safer ways' in Gotham.

Your city doesn't mean anything to me. I've never heard of it.

Friendships are fleeting. Perplexing things, at best. An opportunity for betrayal, far more likely.

True.

But that wasn't the question.

Oh, it was... Merely not the answer you were hoping for.

What do you think I was hoping for?
