sleep paralysis

A lot of you have heard me say that when I was a teenager, I had recurring episodes of sleep paralysis (and now all of you have!). I got the complete "old hag" package, with full-sensory hallucinations and feelings of suffocation and terror. omg, i have these!! i never knew what they were called. i wake and see insects or terrifying creatures. they're different creatures in each place i live, and they're everywhere, and at the time i'm thinking, how could i not have noticed all these creatures all this time? and then i lie very very still (of course) in order to not be harmed. i don't recall panic associated with these episodes recently, but i'm not a very panicky person. definitely terror though.

Well, one of the big reasons to panic is when I try to move and can't, so it seems like things work out for you in that one respect.

in that case, i highly recommend telling yourself that all you need to do to be safe is lie very, very still ;)

next time i'm going to try and see if i can move -- i have no data on that, like if i tried it a long time ago and it didn't work so i told myself i just shouldn't, or if maybe this is a different thing with no paralysis, or what.

i hope you continue to remain calm! your blankets will protect you!
