Yep, Vurt. For when I'm reading or thinking about something and realize I'm in pretty deep. Making the feather yellow is a bit of an exaggeration, though.
I don't think Annie is going to crack up. She has been through way crazier things than this without batting an eye (talking to the dead, etc.). Sure, it's powerful, given that, that she is clearly disturbed now that she's back in the real world, but I don't think it means she is going to crack up in any serious way.

I don't think it's going in that direction either. Tom likes messing with the readers some (have you noticed the snarky comments he posts beneath each strip?), but he's no Joss Whedon. I think a lot of the people who make comments perpetually expect the strip to get darker and more serious than it does. For some reason it reminds me of the Sandman fans who expect Neil Gaiman to act like Morpheus, and actually he's a nice laid-back guy with three little kids.
