So this makes the fifth time I've almost died of dehydration or frozen to death. If I was more superstitious, I'd think the universe was tryin' to tell me something.

... Back during our first year out on Enterprise, me and our tactical officer were investigating an asteroid field out in one of our shuttlepods. We lost sensors and communications ( Read more... )

Might wanna start double checking some of those life choices if you've almost died the same way five times. Hell, twice would be enough to make me not wanna be in that situation again.

I've almost died by bein' shot at more than five times. And after the first time, the rest of 'em were pretty unavoidable.

I hate to say it, but being shot at is pretty 'everyday' compared to freezing to death.

That's actually only happened once. I got heatstroke durin' survival training in the Outback, again when we got kinda caught in the crossfire of some rebels tryin' to stick it to their planet's central government, one time durin' a port here where we were stuck in a nuclear wasteland, and last weekend. I didn't go into any of 'em anticipating things were gonna go as horribly wrong as they did.

Fortunately, the lieutenant is a better friend than you gave him credit for. [GOD DAMN TRIP, THOSE STUPIDLY LOGICAL DECISIONS ARE NOT FOR YOU TO BE MAKING :C]

You can't really go through somethin' like that with another person without comin' out closer than you were before. [Just like every other episode this happened with with Trip. :V]

You took Flagg's deal, but you were awful quiet durin' the whole thing. Best I can figure, you didn't actually do anything with it.

Should I bother askin' why, or are you gonna give me the old song and dance routine about how I need to earn anything I want to know about you and whatever other bullshit you use to try to get out of tellin' me anything?

Asphyxiation would have been a terrible way to die.

Honestly, we probably wouldn't even've noticed. We were unconscious when they finally found us, probably woulda frozen to death before the oxygen ran out.

They say it's a merciful death.
