*since i tend to be a bit wordy sometimes, i have decided to post my trip report in the form of a haiku that pretty much sums up the trip*

clear trail winds upward
a gentle summit relents
endless views exposed

there were actually bunches of marmots, but when i saw this one up at the summit i thought i would get a photo of it just for you!
