Errrr...

Yeah. Could be nothing more than the official line (Mark wasn't happy working full-time from home and so decided to get a day job again)... could be something entirely different.

The thing that I find most odd about it all is the way information on this change fails to flow properly and openly. That's also the thing I find most disquieting, not so much because of DW's future functionality, but because of what it says about DW's basic policy. Wasn't openness in the "we won't fuck you around like LJ has" sense one of DW's basic tenets...?

There's already been one other thing that's made me a bit less euphoric about DW than I used to be, so...

Time will tell.

Maybe there's a disconnect between what the users think is Important Information and what the owners do.

However, the fact that the main developer and co-owner is no longer in charge of day-to-day business and will no longer be developing? Uh ... how is that not worthy of a dw_news update, a major one?

Sorry, but this reeks to me of under the rug swept.

I concur. After all the LJ brouhahas, and the fact DW was born out of them, the DW owners should know better than to be this intransparent, vague and waffly. There's a history here that makes this behavior seem highly suspicious, and it's a history DW should by rights be very aware of.

I never even dipped my toes into the water on DW.

I like "time will tell". I don't know, I had high hopes for DW.
