Recent crackplotty goings-on have not been unnoticed by the Orkney family's surrogate mother, and for this reason Ragnelle--pink dress to-day, soft as pussywillow and coloured like the sky at the hint of sunset--is out walking (in the woods), only too available should any care to speak with her.

In case she wants to talk to a family member who isn't having life struggles, have Gareth! "Lady Ragnelle!"

"Gladly, good sister." He offers his arm gallantly. Well, as gallant as someone little and silly as Gareth can be.

Ragnelle, who is probably a good six inches taller than he is, at least, takes it very properly.

"Where would you go, my lady?"

"Why, I think to the heart of this goodly forest."

[sirbeaumains]

"Then I shall gladly lead thee, lady." And he sets off, that he may do so!

Ragnelle sweeps along beside him, deeply amused and very pleased.

Gareth just loves getting to act knightly, so he's fairly beamy himself.

A few moments later she stops him with a hand upon his arm. "Soft a moment."

"What is it?"

[inglewoodblues]

"The tree here," lightly enough. "It had a word for me."

[sirbeaumains]

"Really? What did it say?"

[inglewoodblues]

"My name. It is well now."

[sirbeaumains]

"Oh. 'kay." His expression, though, is one of 'my sister-in-law is so cool.'

Because she can talk to trees? She finds that very funny. "Tell me, where hast thou been since we last saw thee, when thou didst not sleep at home?"

Gareth's a dork. "Oh, I went up to the mansion a little bit, but I don't really like it there. It's all magic-y, but not good like you and Clar."
