Yeah, the return was emotional for me, partly because of the blue tarp and flood lines, partly because of the Florida adventure coming to a conclusion--spent 4 1/2 great weeks with you, and I miss you already. Oh, well. We'll have bubble tea on Sunday and go to WWOZ on Monday. Hope this time I can make a run to Lush! :)

Sorry to disappoint, but we have experienced problems with contractors, financing and just personal motivation. We feel we progress daily toward commercial opening, but thought it important to spend some energy on being a community center. Free coffee, wi-fi and music have been provided since the earliest days of return. We have free books to rebuild lost personal libraries, and give hot showers to those living in our neighborhood who still have no gas. Our community space is often filled with neighborhood recovery meetings, personal improvement and therapy, and performances. All this involvement has slowed our return to normalcy, but we think they are important aspects of our mission as a community coffeehouse. Thanks for your anxiousness, and I hope for your patience. Some day soon we will be able to sell you some coffee (no Doctor Bonner's though!). Robert, owner.

Thanks for the note!
I hope I didn't sound disrespectful. I appreciate what you've been doing. I've just been looking forward to repaying a bit of the favor by spending some money at your fine establishment.
