Sunday am update

I signed a contract and gave a deposit yesterday-- roofers are supposed to get to work on my home by a week from Monday at the latest; may be able to make a start before. I could write a long post on my roof saga so far, but will for now refrain

omg! =) Tom Piazza.. hee he used to shop the B&N Metairie I worked at.. loves the bargain section. Anyway.. good to know he's ok.. he did some signings at the B&N when I still lived down there.. I first met him at that "Insomniathon" where I got volunteered to work the B&N table.. signed my program.. funny thing... I asked him once about his short stories "blues and trouble" as it's obvious by the style and tone they were written at different times in his life and he annotates by each story where he was when he wrote them.. =P and the topper he writes above the annotations "marks made by Tom P." The guy is funny.. I think he used to get my best pal Rebecca confused with me or something cause he'd come into a different bookstore she was working (she used to work at the same B&N with me a few years ago before also moving on) Uptown and said "he looked at me like "don't I know you?" kind of thing.." LOL

Froggy,
We were both at the Krewe meeting today but were apparently not introduced. Or, if we were, you weren't introduced as Froggy. I was the youngin' in the white sweater with my boyfriend and two friends. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet properly! Hope to see you at other meetings!

I remember you, sorry I didn't know your LJ identity.
I introduced myself to at least part of your group of 4 as Froggy (along with another name), and I was wearing my Krewe jacket with the name "Froggy" on it.
Ah well, I hope we get a chance to talk IRL next time we meet.

FrogD00d, we are coming for that party this year if it kills us! I mean Krewe du Vieux, of course. After all the area has been through, I can just imagine what demons will be unleashed!
