Driver in Florida pulled over by police for expired tag. Police officer mistakes driver's mints for crack cocaine. By the time driver is able to prove they're just mints, he's spent 3 months in jail, lost his home, car, and job.

I really do believe that some police just have no clue about serving the public and more about being power-mad assholes. Sadly, they give all the other ones a bad rap. What makes it even sadder is that the non-assholes feel bound to help the assholes when they finally screw up.

The BART cop who shot and killed a guy laying face-down on the ground while kneeling on his back is an excellent example. His defense is that he meant to use his Tazer. WTF? He's STILL face-down on the ground with you kneeling on him? Why the hell would you even need to taze him, for unruly wiggling under your knee? All the other cops there at the time say it was utterly justified and they wouldn't have changed a thing. There's quite a few videos showing the cop pulling his gun, pointing it at this guy face-down under him, and pulling the trigger.

There was a video released last week, where a cop wasn't paying attention and rammed some girls car. The dash mic caught the cop
