Seriously?  This is how right-wingers are expressing their hatred of liberals now?  By killing a cat?

Not even clicking the link. I'm still crying over reading a short story where a cat died after her caretaker died (it ended fairly happily, with the spirit of the caretaker coming to get the spirit of the cat and then they went on together, but still) so yeah.

Going to go hug my cats fiercely now.

If anyone EVER hurt my cats - I would not be responsible for my actions. John once had to hold me back from attacking a guy I thought I'd seen kick a cat down some stairs. If someone killed one of my four - omg. I'd probably kill them. And gladly take the punishment, because I would have done a service to the world in ridding it of someone who could do that to a living being.

I say call them what they are. Fascists. Fascists engage in political violence. Fascists do things like this.

People like that have already killed humans. :/ That's why animal cruelty is often punished once the abusers are caught - because studies show that animal abuse is just one step closer to inflicting pain on humans.

That being said, I just don't understand why the cretin in this case killed the cat just because of its owners' political affiliations. Cats don't usually care about those kinds of things and they don't know the difference. All they care about is being treated like royalty in their owners' house. I mean, other than using the poor thing as an intimidation tactic against its owners, that is.
