Blaise was there because the actor who played Crabbe was in legal trouble over marijuana and they had to change it up and kill off Goyle instead >.<

Harry was supposed to repair his broken wand with the elder wand - I can't remember either what he did with it after that. I was a little wut about a few of the things they abridged, too, like Dumbledore's subplot and I wish the Prince's Tale had run longer.

Oh dear. Another case of Schroedinger's Death Eater. /facepalm

Hmmm! True, they cut that completely, except for Aberforth and the portrait. :/ I thought the Tale was okay, though; the whole crying scene would have felt over the top with anyone but Rickman.

(Also, HI!~)

hiiiiiiiiiii!

I would have liked to see more of the evolution and destruction of Lily and Snape's friendship. People in the movieverse alone never find out, for instance, why Snape's worst memory was his worst. But then, I love his story, so I'm always a bit sad when any of it is left out <3

*sends hugs to you folks*

Yes! And movieverse people are left with a reasonable conviction that Harry's dad is indeed a total jerk who never outgrew his bullying. And that Dumbledore tolerated the bullying. /gripe Much as Snape's journey was important, that part was important too.

...who on earth are Dan Shor and Tom Hiddleston? Is this Tron stuff I'm not getting?

(I still haven't seen Tron, no. But I read the first Dresden Files book! *nods*)

Half yes, half no!~ Dan Shor was Ram (my favorite character /points to icon) in the orignal Tron movie, and Tom Hiddleston was Martinsson in Wallander and Loki in Thor. Unfortunately Butters doesn't show up until the fifth book, but he's all tiny and floof-haired and... well, later on when Harry is worried about telling him so much about the magical world because it might mess up his life, this happens:
He stared a me for a second and then said, deadpan, "I'm a five-foot-three, thirty-seven-year-old, single, Jewish medical examiner who needs to pick up his lederhosen from the dry cleaners so that he can play in a one-man polka band at Oktoberfest tomorrow." He pushed up his glasses with his forefinger, folded his arms, and said, "Do your worst."
And his license plate says MEEPMEEP. :D So obviously he needs to be played by someone equally small and floof-haired and unexpectedly plucky. ^_____^ As for Hiddleston, he resembles Shor somewhat, only taller and has a British accent instead of a Brooklyn one, which makes him perfect for the ( ... )
