Notes:
○ I was ecstatic when I made the cut this time. I usually miss it, since sign ups go out in a day (I was staying up late when I saw the sign ups go up 8D) but then was a bit frustrated when they announced solo20in20 because I would have had a better time with those. Since I do one character icons usually. 8/ but I had signed up for too many 20in20s by the time this was up so... yeah can't stress myself lol with icons.
○ Doing these icons, I reread some parts of the story of what I had at home, and remembered how crazy this series was.
○ Sort of reverted back to my old style of using light textures frequently (Is this good or bad? D8 I love them and all, but I might abuse them...)
○ Was a pain extracting any of these, only because it took long. These were definitely a lot easier to extract than my FFXIII set. I don't think I've extracted line art in a long time, forgot how it felt |D
○ 01, hogwarts I was not interested in this theme at all, since I'm not a Harry Potter fan. I went with the Ravenclaw house whose colors are blue and bronze (yay for Haine and Ushio's hair |D)Extracting it took awhile, and some of the hair lines ended up funky when resized... All worth it in the end though. 8D
○ 02, fight I interpreted the theme as a fight between Haine and the twins?! I guess it's an emotional fight lol. Anyway, took a very, very long time to extract ;A; shed blood and tears for this one, only to use about 1/6 of the image I extracted. I WILL REUSE IT. I also was not happy with the first result I came up with this one, but thankfully I went back to it the next day and it came out desirable.
○ 03, blocking I had zero faith in myself that I could do this, and was freaking out a bit since at first it wasn't very nice... but I finally got the coloring to look right and went nuts after that |D I kinda abused the idea, lol.
○ 04, fade Might not be too obvious or conspicuous, but Haine and Takanari are both blurred a bit around the edges (I actually had to extract Haine to get her where she is). Not liking this icon too much.
○ 05, magic Used a bunch of floating dots light textures and a smoky texture to interpret it as magical, since ryfee was saying it was ok to interpret it that way.
○ 06, chess pieces I was stumped... but ended up with an icon like this (made a couple queen icons recently, so this one really doesn't come up to par with them...) Komaki is supposed to be a queen (lol she runs this relationship) and Kusame really wouldn't be a king, even if I tried.
○ 07, two fonts I used the song title "Sweet Disposition" by the Temper Trap (7/8 are interchangeable icons lol), the fonts Georgia/Pea Gretchie, and I thought this really represented Maika and Kazuhito's relationship; she's his sweet disposition. |D IT'S A BEAUTIFUL SONG, GO CHECK IT OUT.
○ 08, song title I originally heard the Glee version of "The Only Exception" then I heard the Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider version then after completing this icon, I had finally listened to the original version by Paramore. ANYWAY, ONTO THE ICON, if ya follow the story, then you would know that Ushio is a bit standoffish from the rest of the world, but for some reason she lets Haine into her little world. Therefore, Haine is the only exception for Ushio. 8D took forever extracting these images as well, and the worst part is the result isn't too great...
○ 09, love tropes I really liked this theme! It was actually really fun and interesting to read through all the TV tropes, so this theme was quite enjoyable for me. 8Db Probably one of my favorite themes. I used the love trope, "destructive romance" because, well, their love is a bit whacked (until later at least).
○ 10, wallpaper texture This theme made exactly no sense to me. When I think of wallpaper, especially when read online, I usually think of the one that goes on my desktop, the one I see when I turn on my computer. So at first, I kept thinking "Ok... ryfee wants us to use a BIG TEXTURE... well that's just great." Until I realized that she meant like, wallpaper that goes on... walls in houses. Sorry, eriolchan, didn't extract this one. |D was a bit burned out of all the themes by the time I got to this one, and was like "lol gonna be lazy"
○ set theme: zoom in was nooooooot feeling this theme. So I ended up going lazy for these icons. I don't even think 13/14 even make sense.
○ artist's choice I loooooove being lazy and not doing extracting lol after all that. I really like this set!
