this turned out longer than planned but I hope you'll like this >.<

The tips of his calloused fingers struggle to reach the book he tucked between English-Korean dictionaries. He has barely touched the spine of the book when the familiar sharp pull of muscle at his hamstrings makes him loose his unsteady footing and he falls forward, head knocking against the edge of the computer table below and he tries to minimize the impact with his hands.

HoWon yells out and tears begin to well at his eyes. His clenches his hand into fist and his knuckles turn white with resentment. He pounds it repeatedly against the floor, venting his frustration of being wheel chair bound for the rest of his life.

“Why can’t I fucking do anything!?”

He cries out, and the silence of the empty house is cold on his worn out soul. He grabs the footrest of the wheel chair and staggers trying to get back up, when suddenly a book tumbles from the shelf. It’s the one HoWon has hurt himself getting.

It’s almost a month since the accident and HoWon is still refusing to let anyone see him. He spent most of his confinement period reading the comments of netizens making bets of when he’ll take his own life; and he’d reply anonymously with

“Hoya oppa is not that weak guys. It’s a terrible flaw in physics and human anatomy that the car didn’t get damaged when it hit him.”It’s pathetic, but the fact that he’s still stubbornly defensive of his plight assures him that he isn’t planning on committing suicide anytime soon -until he chances upon old videos of his audition and year end ceremonial performances. Those were the days he’ll never be able to relieve, and the thought makes his chest heave, the bitter feeling of failure planting the seed of depression in his head ( ... )

They talk over beer about the old days of rapping to Epik High and the other members. SungYeol is running his own café, Sunggyu is still with the company working as a composer for its artists and co-managing the newly debut girl group and he could not be any happier. WooHyun is having an on-off relationship with an actress, SungJong is performing for broadways in New York, and MyungSoo has his own photography studio ( ... )

OP here! Aw, you didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed reading this. Despite the angst, I'm actually glad it didn't feel very devastating. The ending made me smile :')
(Also, you had me picturing Hoya with beard which never crossed my mind and now I wish I could see it lol.)
Thank you for the fill! <3
