[Scene for Alphonse and Vergil for Desai University]

Al-mun, why don't you go ahead and start it as you did? I warn you, though, Vergil's a jackass.

Alphonse quietly crept into his room, making sure the light was out and place a try with the still warm pie and a plate of eggs, hashbrowns and ham on his desk. He spied the lump in the bed across from him and wondered if he was any better.

Heeding Vergil's brother's advice, Al avoided his room and spent the night in the common area, trusting the other boy to tend to his brother and sleeping on the couch. It was around 5 in the morning, he decided to make the injured boy a pie, recalling how sweets always made him better when he was under the weather.

"Hi," He said softly. "Pardon, men, Vergil, I made you some apple pie. It's on the desk, ok? And if you you need any breakfast, I fried eggs, and made you a little breakfast, ok? It's better than the cafeteria, I thought you might be hungry."

He then crossed over to his bed, and sat back down and waited.

This went well beyond being 'under the weather'.

Demonic-delivered wounds always healed slower. As did the poisons and venoms that they oftentimes carried. There seemed to be no real good reason for it, but it was true, and was why Vergil was still grounded from wounds he would have long healed from under any normal circumstance.

Dante's final disappearance from his side was unknown. The time of day was unknown. The only thing he knew was that someone was in the room then, and they were talking, and it was making his head, still swarming and heavy from the powerful viper-demon's venom, hurt worse. In response to the friendly greeting, Vergil grasped one of the pillows packed around him, swung it around, overhead, and right at the speaker.

"...shut up," he grumbled, as he tried to roll over onto his stomach, the move prompting a pained growl, hissed out from clenched teeth.

"I didn't mean to disturb you. I brought you breakfast." Alphonse replied. "So you can keep your strength up." He cautiously took the plate and put it on the desk near Vergil's bed. "If you need help eating, just ask, ok?" The boy returned to his bed, aware the young man before him was about as pleasant as Envy on one of his good days. It was nothing personal, he was sure. Somehow, he was sure they boy was just incapable to being kind and the shut up was a kind warning and as pleasant as Vergil could get.

Breathing increased as the half-blood smelled his young dormmate coming towards him. He didn't have much contact with the idiot in the past, and he was glad for that then. What part of the entire situation wasn't screaming, 'Get the fuck away from me ( ... )
