Naminé was fairly certain that she stuck out like a sore thumb at night in the empty park. A young girl in a white dress sitting alone on her favorite bench in the dark... Some of the more unhinged inhabitants might've pegged her as a ghost if they'd been around.
The Nobody of course had reason to be out by herself in the dead of night, working on a colored picture of the park with the starry sky as a backdrop. She'd made a promise to meet someone here to tell her story or at least part of it.
Ever since that young man had been wounded thanks to Larxene's search for Sora, Naminé had been plagued with guilt. If only she'd been able to do something sooner, and Kairi had almost been hurt at that. Larxene was a brutal woman and probably had been even when she'd been in possession of a heart. Naminé regretted not acting quickly enough. Perhaps this friend of that woman on the network... Perhaps they'd be able to do something more active.
She was a bit late, and she hadn't meant to be. The young woman felt like someone out of a comic book that night, having been on a mission, firstly, to track down those strange creatures running about Desai while awaiting the time to come to meet with that girl she spoke to on the network, and secondly helping out that young man who had been in quite some distress. Well, who wouldn't be, being attacked and sexually assaulted by someone of their very same gender
( ... )
Naminé managed not to jump at the sound of the voice behind her. She'd assumed that she wouldn't have been able to sense the swift presence before it was upon her, so she'd been prepared to be a little startled. Thus, it seemed as though she was hardly bothered by it at all. In truth, the Nobody was more relieved that she'd actually shown up than anything.
"Yes, I am," she replied, her voice quiet to match the tone of the mysterious woman's. "I'm Naminé. You're here to learn about the Dusk, I take it." Straight to business. One had to be when, at any moment, Larxene herself could pop right up with a horde of the mindless Nobodies.
Sheik dropped into a crouch in front of Naminé, a more comfortable position for the shadow fighter, and she focused intent red eyes on the young girl. And she was young, too...
"I am. I've had plenty of run-ins with them." Run-ins that Sheik was unable to catch them during, which surprised the swift young woman. Normally, no being was too fast for her, but these creatures... "Most importantly, how do I stop them."

And so, Naminé waited.
