After a few weeks of deep thought and many emails sent off to former and future professors ans well as friends, I've decided to go to Aberdeen

Oh bother - we wanted another 'free' SCA person in our shire!
OTOH, if you can pry out of Aberdeen to visit Edinburgh, you're spoiled for medieval music and dance.
And yes - costs are going up in England, much more so for international grads I suspect.
