I really loved this. The alternate bits where things go differently are a great touch.
He wished he’d banged up the Normandy a little more in that final fight, because Shep had never broken a promise she made to him before. That line made me choke up a bit. D:

This is about 'my' Shepard, but I'm playing through again with different backstories, so we'll see what my off-kilter mind comes up with next. =)
