Thank you so so much for your kind words about my story! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it and that is was able to make you feel emotional. Thanks for letting me know.
And I COMPLETELY AGREE re: the art! I hope you let the artist know you enjoyed her work! :D
This is so sad, so heartbreaking but also so sweet how is this possible? I am so a Jensen here, I want to keep Jared safe and I don't ever want to see him cry ever again. But I also understand why Jared does what he does--he does not want to get Jensen in trouble but at the same time the thought of not seeing Jensen breaks his fragile heart. It is a miracle he can stay away from Jensen for 2 years. And growing up like that, poor Jared cannot figure out any other way to earn money--that's not surprising. God, thank you for not giving us graphic details on where all those bruises come from. Poor, poor Jared. And Jensen is so vulnerable I want to hug him so bad. But he's also very strong, watching over Jared even when his heart breaks when he sees him with the clients. *sobs

Hahaha, I was SUCH "a Jensen" while writing this (even though I was also the one making things terrible for poor Jared XD). I JUST WANTED POOR BB TO BE OKAY.
I was lucky enough to have the POV here to help me keep the violence at arm's length. I wanted to touch on the more lasting effects of that kind of violence, but I really did not want to get weighed down with the horror of graphically depicting this kind of abuse.
:) I'm really glad that Jared knowing that Jensen loved him worked for you, even after it took you by surprise. I think a lot of the complication came about from Jared knowing but because he's never encountered genuine emotion like that before, he just doesn't know how to respond to/interpret it. Pretty sad when you think about it. :/
Definitely baby steps for these two, but it's going to be so good for them. ^___^ Thank you so so much for reading and for this wonderful comment--please don't apologize, it made my day. :D

This was beautiful. And heart-wrenching. Just... perfection.
And the art was SPECTACULAR.
