Next to my betas, the always perfect wutendeskind, who is not afraid to tell it like it is and who in doing so made the story at least 90 times better and kiwiana who was so speedy and caught so many of my stupid mistakes. ♥ Title is taken from Perpetual Motion, a gorgeous poem by Tony Hoagland (and thanks to coyotesuspect for feeding me that one). Finally, a thank you must be said to my baby scorpiod1 for not only racing me through a huge chunk of this story, but also for always believing in me and making me believe in myself. This was all written before Season 6 aired and most of it before the Comic Con spoilers came out, so all similarities are purely coincidence.
Summary: Dean keeps his promise to Sam for as long as he can, but after two years, he still can’t cope with his brother’s loss. When he leaves Lisa to try and sort out his issues, however, he discovers that Sam is already back and dealing with the aftermath of Lucifer’s possession. Together, they struggle with Sam’s new powers and their relationship with each other, but when something starts targeting the people they’ve saved, the powers just might be the only thing that can stop it. (AU after 5x22, no Season 6 spoilers)
