Thanks! I wanted to get some kind of handle on how the half-decent human being we know as Edmund came to be the total snot he was at the beginning of LWW... :)

That Susan really does miss him, even though she writes to Peter (who never writes back) and to Lucy, but sends only greetings to Edmund in her letters to Mother.

OUCH. Poor Edmund!

I love the way you write him.:-)

thank you!

It is a bit sad... :( The aim is to create a context for the snotty brat he is in the beginning of LWW...

Be nice to see a bit more of it, of that first year of his at boarding school, since that's when he really changes. I've a notion one of them calls it "that awful school" at one point, am I remembering that right?

I'm not sure if that was this school or Eustace's that they were talking about at the time...

Anyway... *frown* I don't think I have much in the way of plot which I can add for that year, and... I actually can't write bullying scenes very well, can't get the emotions right. There's a highly effective memory block in the back of my brain which won't tell me what it *feels* like, and just sends me scurrying off in the other direction to write something happy with daisies in it.

So that year won't get a story in itself. But if I get a chance to slot bits in as backstory somewhere, I shall.

I think you're definitely on the write track! This seems very much in character with everyone, and it's very believable. And I agree: you should write more. : )

thank you!

I don't really have a plot enough to write a whole 'nother story about that year, unfortunately. And I don't know if I *could*, for entirely personal reasons.

But if I get a chance to slot something in as backstory somewhere else, I definitely will.
