Since I just made some artwork for the fantastic PDF version that lifebehindadesk has so lovingly put together, I figured I should stop lurking and finally tell you how much I loved this story... The truth is, I just wanted to finish reading it before commenting.

I've been a Trekkie for over 30 years but I had never really thought about shipping Kirk and McCoy until I saw the new movie. Your wonderful story only confirms how perfect they are for each other, how in fact their friendship is the one that should prevail, at least in this new universe. I had always been a Spock girl and never cared much for Kirk but in this new verse it's all about Kirk and Bones. You weaved your way into their heads and hearts so intimately and beautifully... I don't even have the words to describe how this story made me feel. You actually made me cry, damn it! LOL! Thank you so very much and I am thrilled to know that Jim couldn't leave well enough alone and that he nagged you for a sequel... Gotta love him! :D
