He smiles and finds a table away from the crowd. Anthony and Terry soon follow him, taking a seat and drinking rather weak punch. He pulls out a deck of exploding snap from the pocket of his robe and shuffles, tapping his foot to the music as he starts to deal.

LOL!! I guess you can put teenage boys in a ballroom, but you can't make them dance. Ah, the flashbacks to all my middle school dances where the boys stood on one side of the room in clumps and the girls stood on the other side in clusters, and no one really felt brave enough to ask anyone to dance.
