i know exactly how you feel.

i have polycystic ovarian syndrome, which is a problem with your ovaries and hormones and shit which makes it like impossible to lose weight. it just sucks because all these years i've been trying and i would never lose any weight.

I used to have high thyroid, but mine's been taken care of. You can help it out with certain foods to, but I forget which. It shouldn't slow your metabolism enough to make a difference though (I didn't think, could be wrong). Do you have low T4 levels too?

Hopefully you caught it in time. If it goes untreated for too long, it can mess up your whole endocrine system. If your doctors don't chose to do so anyway, make sure they do an ENTIRE blood screening of all your hormones.

I have a low thyroid imbalance so I think there are different symptons when it's too high or too little.
& they told me also depends on what chemicals but I have a lot of the symptoms that I was reading about.
I got tested today for everything to do with my thyroid.
but when I was in the hospital 6 months ago they said that my thyroid level was low also.
& it's happened a bunch of time and doctors haven't really done anything about it.
it really pisses me off because I think this started in 8th grade which is way too long to go untreated when doctors told me that there was something wrong but it was nothing to worry about. I dunno.

There's HUGE differences when it's too high or too low, practically polar opposites. But I didn't think either end of it messed with your metabolism enough to make you lose/gain weight.

Doctor's are freakin dumb sometimes. Best of luck to you. Go to an endocrinologist, not just a regular doctor.

I have something wrong with my thyroid. not sure what but something. it runs in my family. some people can become SEVERELY overweight if it gets too bad. i bet you a million dollars as soon as they get you on meds or whatever you'll be fine.
