Of all the weird-ass places to take Plaude, Cats has to be way up on the list. Hilarious stuff, love Claude's snobbery.

Oh, and thanks for getting that damn Jellicles song stuck in my head- you'll be hearing from my lawyer. ;)

I agree with Claude on both Cats and ketchup.

I happen to love dance and musical theatre - it takes a certain panache to make them squick me to the extent that ALW did with Cats. It's just so banal. That said, it did keep a lot of excellent dancers in work for a long time.

*g*

It's funny, I had no idea that other people shared my intense dislike of Cats (or rather the absolute disbelief that anyone would think it good) ... but even those in favour of musicals in general have concurred!

(Note to self: must pick slightly less easy target next time ...)

And you're right, banal is exactly what it is.

Heee! I'm so pleased you liked this :)

*looks up ‘physiognomy’* Cannot … stop … huffingly-giggling! *gasps for breath*

Hee! Breathe, breathe!

Oh dear … Claude’s going to special hell …

Ha! I hadn't thought of that. But yes!

I’m a vegetarian, but whenever someone talks about how awesome fish and chips are I feel my morals weakening …

*g* I'm a pescatarian, which is sort of cheating but does mean that I get to eat fish and chips ;o)

Thanks for reading! :)

*can breathe now*

Ha! I hadn't thought of that. But yes!
Well, he can keep Captain Reynolds company ...

I can't STAND people who say they're vegetarians and eat chicken ... but if you just don't eat fish I guess I can let that slide ...

Oh, it's wonderful and yet so horrible. I did in fact enjoy Cats when I was still in my single digits. But now I can just image them running into Mo and Sylar leaving a performance of Phantom of the Opera.

Claude as a culture snob just strikes me as so freakin amusing.

Also, may I suggest a corollary to Ash Wednesday: The Hollow Men. It's always struck me as a very Claude poem.
