I think I'm going to start all my comments that way, from now on.
Anyway, glad to see the Sandersen's again! I wonder at exactly why Misha's being sent to England and how good Linderman actually is but...hmm. Intriguing.
And I like your Candace/Elisabet...not nearly as much of a bitch, but you still captured her interaction with Micha very well, and I loved your description of her power. I'm guessing you named her Elisabet after the graphic novel? By the way, you switched to "Candace" once, here:
and Candace knows, even without hearing that desperate marching noise in her blood, that her pulse has quickened again, because the man leers- Was that intentional?
Oh, and the idea of Sylar having that power? Very, very creepy. Creepier than usual with Sylar.

... this is going to be my "Angela, you sick bitch", isn't it? *g*

*g* Well, I'm glad you're intrigued.

Yes indeedy. A cookie to the smart lady :)
By the way, you switched to "Candace" once,
Oops! Thank you. I knew that would happen. Fixed now, cheers!

Cool. I have way too much fun writing Sylar.
Glad you enjoyed!

Cool. I have way too much fun writing Sylar- I know. And Thomassen (you bastard). It's only slightly worrying.

Well, maybe mix it up a little, or whatever works for you, you know? :)

Writing the bad guys kicks so much ass :)

For a moment, pain hesitates, and Elisabet feels for the first time the warm trickle running across her eyebrow and down her cheek.
Perfect.
May I ask where the name 'Elisabet' came from, though?

Of course - in the graphic novels, she's Betty.

Ah, that makes sense then.

"I can hear you."
Hell, Sylar's scary; i loved that whole scene with Candace.
Lovely, dear; keep working, please.

Well, Thomassen is very creepy ... *laughs*

Thank you! I had fun with it. Too much fun, probably ;)
Glad you liked it ... will try to plough on with what happens next (Lord ... what does happen next?!)

I'm intrigued by the quasi-psychic edge to Elisabet (is that a double-derivation from the meaning of Candace, BTW?) in this 'verse. Or is it empathic? Either way, I can see how it would be horrible and useful for anyone possessing this variation.

LOL! No, I'm afraid Thomassen's destiny (and Nicole's, in fact) is something quite different.

I picked Elisabet because in the graphic novels, she's Betty (this was after I spent half an hour googling and sweating because there was no European name that sounded like Candice that also sounded appropriately 1940s!). And yeah, I figured that she can't do what she can do without having some kind of empathic connection with the other person in order to show them what she wants them to see. Does that make any sense? ;)
Thanks for reading! :)

*smacks self upside head* *repeats*
I can definitely see a subconscious empathic connection for modern-day Candice. I think I'd never considered it because it seems to me that there should be some extra effort involved in deluding large numbers of people, and in the graphic novels she doesn't seem to have any trouble with that. Then again, not every power used in-show seems to exact any sort of toll on the stamina, let alone increasing with the size of the display. (Oops, I think I went all Mohinder on this.) In any case, having her be aware of the empathic angle in this version is nice. Can't wait to see what creepy uses Sylar finds for his new power...

Hee at your Mohinder moment - it's a reasonable point.
Yeah, I've just kind of done my own thing with her powers in this. Hopefully that's not too discordant (and hey, I can always play the "but it's my AU!" card ;)

The Sylar and Elisabet stuff was wonderful. I was going to quote stuff I especially liked but it was basically the whole thing. And I'm really looking forward to what Sylar does was that power!
Quick correction for you-- Did you mean to have Elisabet here instead of Candace?: Tentatively, he reaches forward, and Candace knows, even without hearing that desperate marching noise in her blood, that her pulse has quickened again, because the man leers: a wicked, wolfish smile.

*g* I'm waiting for you to start prefacing your comments with "Sylar, you sick bitch" ;)
Glad you liked the Sylar scene - I was quite pleased with that. And yes, theoretically this makes Sylar very very frightening indeed.
The Candace typo is my own idiocy and I've fixed it now. You can tell I didn't decide on a better name for her until right before posting! Oops. Hee.

Nah. Angela was still sicker. I can preface every review with that if you'd like though. ;)

Frightening, but still hot. ;)
BTW: Strawberry porn posted within the next hour? I don't know how, but I think so!

LOL! No, save it. Because, you know, she's not dead. Just stuck in another dimension. *g*

Oh, I love you! I meant to ask you in my original reply how it was coming along. This cheers me immensely :)
