Just considering it fair warning to note that most of my journaling these days also is personal rather than fandomish. But friended you back all the same. :)
I'm not a member of SWG, but I wanted to say how very much I'm enjoying "Rise Again from the Ashes" there. (I've already thanked Sian for recommending it via her recs on LOTFiction.) I love the "future" of Valinor that you're building (the fact that Maglor couldn't find any food in his kitchen because he couldn't figure out the appliances made me laugh), but I love the insights into Maglor's mind and memory even more. And the interactions between Maglor and Elrond are both heartbreaking and heartening. Can't wait for each weekly chapter!
I am so sorry for not responding to this earlier! I thought I had, but I found the notice buried in my inbox and realized I hadn't.
I'm glad you're enjoying it! :D I couldn't see Valinor remaining stagnant, though it'd change more slowly than Middle-earth. I'm glad you like the insights-- Maglor's fascinating and my favorite character for that reason. I think that if anyone else would have asked him to return (well, maybe Maglor's wife), he would have refused. But he and Elrond have an interesting, though difficult at times, relationship.
I hope you've liked the last few chapters I've posted. :)
Yes, indeed! I was delighted to see the new chapter up today, with "Maglor's best friend." Clearly he needs friends, after having gone without for so many millennia!
I'm truly thankful for your reviews on ff.net, by the way, but I unfortunately can't respond to them. (The site doesn't allow people to respond to anonymous comments, which is the only site I know of that doesn't.) I love hearing what you think.
I would like to be added to your friends list. I am loving your story "Rise Again from Ashes." Also, I remember reading your story about Maglor being caught by Black Riders during the Back to Middle-Earth Month challenges. Hugs from, Leianora the lighthearted.
