One of the greatest hypocrisies of our society is that we extol those who "think outside the box" and try to break unnecessary norms only in retrospect.  It's a shame so many people want to fix other people that aren't breaking things

Adults don't really do anything to earn the title, so their "those days" can't be any different from "these days," and so years can't really be that different. It's all retrospect.
