Meme - Musical sentences!

Sep 06, 2009 00:35

Considering that this song has been in my library for who-knows-how-long, it's no surprise to me that it's the most played: Careless Whispers by George Michaels.

Anyway, I've been doing a lot of Naruto music memes recently and this idea has been nagging me for a while now. redbrunja's recent book meme, and today's topic of Writer's Block convinced ( Read more... )

meme, guesswork, favourite music, writer's block

I know the first one is Linkin Park's Leave Out All the Rest... If only because I can practically lip sync to every one of their songs... sigh.

And the last one is nickelback... *gooey sigh of happiness* His voice is just... god, so amazing. (don't tell any of my friends I love Nickleback though, I'd die of embarrassment >.<)

I don't know any of the rest! ha!

Hah! You're the RIGHT! The first one IS Leave Out All the Rest by Linkin Park! congrats. It's an old favourite of mine - the play count is over two hundred in my library! So you can guess how obsessed I'm with this song. This obsession sprouts from the fact that everytime this song plays I just think of Sasuke... Sasuke and Sakura actually. Especially the lines 'I'm strong on the surface, no all the way through. I've never been perfect but neither have you.'

And it seems you like Linkin Park too! Man, all the angst in their song just kills me - and the voice! Oh god!!

But unfortunately, you're wrong about the las one, dear! I admit, I love Nickelback - both their mellow (You remind me) and hardcore (Figured you Out) songs. They're seriously amazing!

Sadly I don't recognize any of them... but each line together and in teh order you put them make a rather coherent story/poem/thing....

Oh, that's a pity. ~.~ Anyway, now that you mention it, it's true! It does form a disjointed sort of story/poem? Now that I REALLY look at the sequence, the story is pretty... angsty.

Bingo! The lead singer of Breathe into Me must have some seriously strong vocal cords to scream 'BREATHE INTO MEEE...!' like that on the last note. But somehow, it doesn't grate on my ears, instead all the angst and passion totally blows me away everytime I listen to that song. The lyrics are so straightforward - needless to say, I just love this song. It's somehow very different from the usual rock music!

On an unrelated note, you are the author of 'Purple' and 'Teeth', right? underhanycat0 rec'd those two fics, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the time to read them... yet.
