So, i decided to see if twilight would 'sweep' me away like it has the nation. Got the movie and the book. Watched the movie last night. And this is what I have to say about it;

WHAT THE FUCK IS THE BIG DEAL?!?!?!?!

I just dont get it. it was ok, had some awesome cinematography of the northwest. i liked bella, and edward is a wimpy idiot. oh ( Read more... )

It's just another phenomena I never got. I'd dismiss it as a kid's thing but lots of adults like it...then again, lots of adults liked Harry Potter and I never got into that either.

I sampled these stories while waiting for the girls to take a test. These books were written, IMO, to make money. Bella is the perfect teen image: She's more capable than either of her parents, everyone (including hunky century-old predators) loves her and yet she's saddened by feelings that nobody else understands. Who wouldn't want to be Bella when they were teens?
Then, the author removed all the big stigmas from being a vampire. "Oh no, I'm sparkling in the sunlight!" In my day, a vampire in the sun caught fire and exploded!

Nez hates Bella. Says she acts like a victim. I can't say one way or the other, but I trust her insight on that subject. I agree with you on the movie, though. Great cinematography.

BTW, I'm sorry i didn't call you on your birthday. It's been a rather hectic time, and it's not done yet. Didn't want you to think I forgot you!
