Just donated fun things for
Child's Play 2006!
Since Boston's Childrens Hospital isn't on the list, I choose to buy for the Queen Kapiolani Medical Center in Hawai'i.
But yeah, really. If you have an extra $10 lying around (or more, you know, whatever..) buy some sick kids toys/books/movies/general holiday cheer. This is run by the folks at

It's run by the folks at Penny Arcade, which, you're right, makes it more fun, but it also is important because it gets a fair bit of media attention during which we can show people outside of our generation that the video game generation isn't a bunch of slackers and actually cares about more things than the newest Grand Theft Auto game. Playing violent video games doesn't make people more violent, it makes them donate to sick kids!!
I'll be donating this year, and urging anyone who would normally buy me a present for the holidays to donate instead. I have a job and can buy the things I want. These kids need stuff much more than I do.

This year my hospital of choice wants to update/improve their video game/movie collection. I didn't really have the cash to throw down for many games, and besides I don't really know what's good. Katamari (1 & 2) had already been donated.. a few times.. so I got 3 movies, and a set of kids books.
Thanks a million for bringing this to my attention last year!
