Off-topic: remember when I told you I respecced to enh, you said I could talk to Jeremy about it? I was initially hesitant because I had information overload from EJ, maxdps, etc. etc. (also, learning how to melee in a raid for the first time on 3-drake Sarth attempts is a terrible idea), but now I feel like I have some handle on what's going on and... I still have crappy dps. :) It would be awesome to get some tips from someone knowledgeable, if you wouldn't mind putting me in touch with him.
I hear you on 3 drake. I did it for the first time last night and not only lived through everything, rocked the healing meters and won the raid roll for the drake. lol.
Jeremy had lower dps on 3D as well, for melee it is a bit difficult to find a rhythm I think.
I will be at work late tonight, but you can whisper him, his shaman is Maimikuba. I'll give him a heads up. It's not a raid night so it should be a good night for questions.
From my experience, it takes a while to get a feel for raid dps as an enh shaman. You have to work your tail off. I'm guessing you need hit rating.
Congrats on the drake! That is awesome. I spent the first night of 3-drake dying to void zones, ha. They are really hard to see under the drake hit circles! And our raid leader has that mod that tells you who died to void zones and lava wall each time... well, thankfully I am better at that now.
I do need hit rating, although not an insane amount at this point. I think I am aiming for 362 (the spell hit cap with a spriest in the raid), and with the +hit buff food I have 332. If I get a few more upgrades that should be set. (Trying not to be bitter at the guy that outbid me on T7.5 chest, when he was replacing T7 and I was replacing BT... grrr.)
I'll talk to Jeremy tonight and see if I can get some tips. Thanks!
